January 2023- Chile
From Puerto Natales we were able to explore the Torres Del Paine National Park. We were not interested in long, strenuous hikes, but rather slow drives, easy strolls and beautiful vistas. We were very fortunate to have good weather on the day we decided to drive through the park.
The second day we visited the silly little tourist trap with the paper mache’ mastodon tucked in the back corner.
Then we drove to the border crossing. This photo depicts the typical terrain, weather, building style and roadway of this region of Patagonia. And yes, this is the actual border between Chile and Argentina. Let’s go explore the Argentinian parts of Patagonia for a while!
