While in the area of the Atchafalaya Swamp, there are a few things that really cannot be missed. Since we already took care of a few of those things, we had one more to do. Here is the swamp list.

We found a rough little camping location on the side of a levee near Breaux Bridge (pronounced BROBRIDGE in all one word like drawbridge) named McGees Landing. After settling in to our grassy, riverside camping spot we booked a two-hour airboat tour. It was great. Here are a few highlights:
